Update on Reopening of Workshop and Resumption of Club Meetings

Dear Members,

As you are no doubt aware, the COVID19 pandemic has taken something of a turn for the worse in Victoria in the last couple of weeks and the relaxation of restrictions has slowed and in some cases reversed. As a result of this, the committee has decided to take a cautious approach to resuming club activities.

Because of the limited space in the workshop, it has been decided to delay the opening of the workshop for a few more weeks. We hope to have the workshop open during the second half of July but as always, we will monitor conditions carefully and make a decision nearer the time.

Club meetings on the other hand can take place in the Heritage room of Mont De Lancey. This is a large room which can accommodate all of our members with adequate room for proper distancing but obviously we will not be able to have hands-on or demo type meetings at this venue.

The first meeting is planned to be held on 15 July followed by the AGM on 5th August. We will let you know more details about the first meeting a little closer to the time.

Your patience is very much appreciated and I hope that soon we will be able to get back to at least some of our club activities.

Best regards,

Stephen Tomlin
